The Golden Claw is the largest mafia in the world of Animalia. It is unknown how many members it has, but its numbers are clearly large. Their hatred toward humans is absolute and taken to the extreme.

From the moment Sarah crosses the portal, they actively lead the anti-human movement.

From the second half of the second act onward, it is revealed that their resources go far beyond what was expected, demonstrating preparation even greater than that of the army.

Like the protagonists, the Golden Claw has at least one hacker among its ranks. However, their skill and intelligence are far below those of Tech, the hacker who protects Sarah.

After the failed attempt to assassinate Sarah, the Golden Claw organizes a direct attack on Mitch and Sarah’s apartment with the intention of eliminating both of them.

The attack ends with the total destruction of the apartment, although Mitch and Sarah manage to escape unharmed.

Finally, after the plan orchestrated by Tech to simulate Sarah’s death, the Golden Claw loses its main structure and a large portion of its resources.
Taking advantage of the internal chaos, Tech manages to track many of its members and, with the help of the Animalia army, dismantle much of the organization.

The name “Golden Claw” dates back at least one hundred years. It is said that its founder had a golden prosthetic claw on his right hand. He used that same claw to tear open the throats of his enemies.

At that time, the greatest fear for anyone was to be brought before the leader. This sometimes meant being forced to kneel before him and being killed with a deep slash across the neck. Some took quite a while to die, yet the leader rarely struck a second time; he preferred to watch the agonizing victim until their final breath.

Today it is unknown whether this story is real or simply a myth, a legend that still inspires fear.

Years later, some claim the body was exhumed and the claw was not found. Some say it was stolen; others believe the members of the Golden Claw kept it and that it is now a valuable treasure, carefully guarded.

At first it is believed they only want to assassinate Sarah. However, as Tech later explains, that is merely a small objective and the spark to ignite something much bigger.

The Golden Claw uses Sarah’s refuge in the presidential palace as an excuse to begin a rebellion. A coup d’état. During the siege of the presidential palace, they also intended to assassinate the President and Mitch.
